Good Times

I have to say, I think the party was a big success. I think it was hella long. Went on from 10:30 to about 3:00. It was long in my mind. I was ready for people to go by the end of it. I don't believe that I mentioned that I was planing one, but yeah, that finally happened. The apartment is still in one piece, even though it wasn't immediately after the party. The white walls were black from people grinding on them. Most of that came out, luckily. The only thing still around is the alcohol stained kitchen floor that has yet to be mopped. More on that in another post.

I'd say about 100 people come through throughout the night. Food started off the night to keep people busy until stuff starting kicking off. People ended up getting so drunk that by the end of the night, people either only wanted to hear the same shit over and over again, or they would jump up and juke to anything. Kirk Franklin, the electric slide, all that shit. $200 worth of boos contributed to that, thanx to Toni that I still have to pay her back for. All the drinks were just sitting out, people drinking to their content, and that shit still lasted all night. That's a lot of alcohol.

Everyone can thank Alisha and Miya for starting the craziness, really happy that they came. Crazy ass people also include Dia, Diana, Mike, Shemia, Rainie, Tiffani, and Carie. In a few months, my refrigerator should be giving birth to Dia and Mike babies. Diana displayed some of the best Detroit/Chicago skills that I've ever seen. Tiffani, and later on Tim, was just a hyper animal. Shemie and Rainie were tag teaming guys in the living room, and I saw more out of Carey than I ever would have expected. Tim was in my room working his ass off for about 3 hours mixing music at the beginning. After I saw how much work he was going through, I wanted to give him something for it. No one else was really talking about it, so that fell through.

Niggers!! That's all I got to say. The party was awesome, I can see that, but I certainly didn't have fun during it. Niggers!! Niggers will be invited over yo crib, and jake up yo shit, like either they own it, or it just don't matter that they breaking shit. I saw niggers kicking my walls, pounding on the walls, screaming at the top of their lungs, and having yelling contests, all like they weren't inside of an apartment building. The music is BLASTING, don't open the doors so that the neighbors can hear the shit better than they can already hear it. Dumbasses. People don't think. These are the same people that would have been cursing and complaining had the shit been shut down. The only thing that saved their dumbasses, and mine, is the fact that we live in a building that is as ghetto as it is. So ghetto, that the fucking guards that continued to get complaint after complaint about the party, fucking came up in the party to get drinks and stare at the girls shaking their asses. The most obsurd stuff that I have ever seen. God oh God oh mighty. Basically, I had to police the shit all by myself, or kiss my apartment good-bye. Niggers spilling drinks all over the kitchen. Garbage flowing everywhere, spilling all over the kitchen floor. Niggers jumping up and down trying to create more noise than they already are. Not to mention trying to keep the music as low as possible, ridiculous.

Once I get the time, I'mma scan all the pix that Toni took and post them ALL OVER THE INTERNET. lol, yeah, put them on here, and some type of photo gallery on here or on yahoo. All Takes time that I really don't have to give, that I know I will give.

The previous post about all the work that I had to do, very little of that got done. I don't really know what to do about all this. I don't see stuff getting any better. What's really bad is that none of this (academic stuff) actually reflects on my major (computer) knowledge. I'm one of the most knowledgeable people I know when it comes to what I do. School definitely measures capabilities incorrectly. I seem to just have a problem with the school work. When it comes to actually doing that stuff, I'm top of the game.

I've been trying to improve that stuff for a time. Doesn't seem like much is changing, so what it looks like it'll end up getting, is me edging along in these classes the best I can, and just aiming for graduation day. Then, perhaps in the real world, what I am will truly shine through. I only real obstacle I see with that method is, financing school until then. Grades ain't too good right now, and I'm going to need to pay for school some way. Only time will tell, and you don't know til you try, so the ony thing that I can think to do is hope it all works out. I've been lucky my whole live when it comes to stuff like this, so I'mma continue to use it til it fails me miserablly. . .

Deeper into the Rabbit Hole

I broke this horrible story into two posts. I noticed that it was getting long. The incident happened in front of the building to the left of Douglas Hall (looking from the yard) on Sixth Street. The drain that the phone dropped down was right next to some yellow cones and a big yellow contruction diamond sign, that stood on top of a steel plate in the street. I asked the police guard at the gate when the contruction workers worked on the site, and he said that they come every night at 6, but that sometimes they work one block up the street at Cramton Auditorium.

I guess I'm a positive person until I'm positive that I'm stuck in a bad situation. Remember, I didn't hear a splash when it fell, I could even see ground when I looked through th e drain, not too far down, but too far for me to grab. I heard that it is supposed to rain tomorrow, so I'm hoping that these guys work today, and that they'll help me out. If they don't want to help, I'm willing to chalk up some money to get my phone back. It's only about 5, so I go back to CLDC and chill, and wait for the workers.

(I'm getting tired of writing)It's about 8, and I figure they should be up there, even though I can't see them from the window in CLDC. I actually think I missed them. I walk up there to check, and sure nuff, they're up the street, working on something in front of Cramton. The Mexican boss buy was actually really nice and told one of his guys to go down the street with me and see if it was still there (hadn't fell into the water drain that's down there). He confirmed that there is a ledge down there, where stuff can safely on.

We open up this man-hole, and the fucking phone is under water, I can see it. FUCK!! Damn, I want it anyway, maybe somehow it'll still work after its dried, or maybe the data can be taken out of it. He has this axe that he used to open the man-hole that has a flat end on it. He leans through the hole, and tries to scoop the phone onto the axe, to get it out. Don't work, now dirt has been kicked up from the bottom, and I can't see the phone anymore. He says he can see it, but keeps trying, and can't get the phone on the axe. He says that it's not going to work, and that someone is going to have to pick it out. I say I'll do it, since it's mine, and this ain't even his job. I put on this tiny glove he gives me (no help whatsoever). The water is hella deep, so my arms is getting soaked anyway, so whatever is down there is touching my skin regardless.

I can't even feel the bottom of this thing. AFter a while, I think I feel it, and then its gone, I don't feel it anymore. I must have moved it, it was right on the underwater ledge too. He gave me a helmet to extend my reach, and I combed the entire bottom of that thing, but it was gone. It feel down on the deep end where the water drains, and the guy said that from there, it goes to the nearest treatment plant.

On a side note, while I'm walking back to engineering depressed, while I left Tiffani in the server room by herself, I see Carey. I stop to say hi and whatnot, and she's looking at me kind of weird. (I had just got out of a sewer drain) I noticed I was scatching a lot, and stopped, and went on. When I got inside, in the light of the hallways, I noticed that I was covered in dirt, head to toe. I looked like I'd just rolled in some wet sand or something. Wow, that's what she was looking at. Oh well, now you know what I had been through Carey.

In conclusion, I need everyone who I know to have their number sent to me some way or another. If there is someone that you know that I knew, send their number(s) to me, that means house, cell, work, etc. When I get my new phone, hopefully soon, you can call or text the numbers to me, or e-mail them to me. If you have multiple numbers that I had, send them to me also.

Right back in the hole

The very second when I'm starting to come out of the hole financially, this shit happens. I get a surprise refund check from the school, that I had forgot I was supposed to get, and the very next day, I lose something very valuable that's going to cost me just about the same amount of money. This would happen on the warmest day of the year so far too, right when everyone was out on the yard having the time of their lives.

I'm out on the yard, class is out, walking around talking to people, living it up. It's about 77 degrees out, the wind is blowing, and girls are dressed like they lost their minds. I'm walking back to the engineering building, going to play some CS in the air conditioning, and decide to call my grandma back from the message she had left me earlier. Turns out instead of trying to mail me the refund check Howard sent, she's wants my account number so that she can deposit it directly in (instant money, $431).

After I give it to her, and am just chatting at this point, Dwayne walks up and needs a 20 dollar bill. I look, while holding my phone to my head with my shoulder, and see I don't have a 20, but I do have a lot of bills.
Dwayne: Well, do you have 20 dollars?
BT: Lemme see. . . . I got 18.
Dwayne: I'll take that. . . .
Right fucking there, I slip trying to pull the bills out of my wallet, and my phone hits the street ground in front of my feet (I'm stand on the curb, Dwayne is in front of me in the street). Bounces once, then back towards me, but I'm on the curb, so this bitch falls in the water drain that I'm standing on top of. No splash, no nothing.

I'm fucking shocked. I can't believe this shit just happened. Why? Why fucking me? I don't even care about having to get a new phone either, cause I wanted one, but not now. My party is fucking Saturday, I have yet to invite people, AND ALL MY FUCKING NUMBERS ARE GONE. Not only that, but I had numbers in there from High School, all the Carver folk from last year, all of my friends' friends. People that I have no other way of getting in contact with, that I'll never see again. I had friends of relative's numbers, parents of friends numbers. Plus, I had just got out the hole. Now I'm right back in it.

How nerdy are you?
